Senegalese-American singer Akon has expressed his preference for popular Afrobeat artist Davido over his rival Wizkid.
In a recent interview with Issraissry, Akon found it challenging to choose between the two Afrobeat giants but ultimately selected Davido, whom he referred to as the “ultimate shouter.”

Akon’s choice has reignited the rivalry between the two singers, sparking a heated debate among their fans over who is the better.
Despite their past feud, Davido and Wizkid were seen together at a function in December last year, indicating a possible truce. However, Akon’s preference for Davido has rekindled the competition.
Akon has collaborated with both artists in the past, and attempted to sign them to his record label, Konvict Music.
He has openly praised both Afrobeat artists, stating they are wealthy, even more so than some American singers.
