Following his awe-inspiring display at the BRITS Award ceremony which came up at 02 Arena in London, fans have described Rema’s performance as one of the best shows they have ever watched. They expressed further after the performance, “Rema has given us one of the best performances…it is the first time an Afrobeats artist is performing at the BRITS Awards, and we want to see more Nigerians performing here.
Rema responded, saying, “It is an honor to perform here and bring my culture to the British people.”

He continued, “I feel so happy to be here, but I sang the song Calm Down so I need to calm Down.”
Calm Down, which was nominated for the 2024 BRIT Award as the International Song of the Year, lost to Miley Cyrus’ Flowers.
The hit song holds the record for the highest chart for an African song on the U K Singles Chart with a No. 3 peak position.
Rema became the first Afrobeats artist to ever perform at the prestigious European Music Award show.
