Wednesday was an off day for the American singer and songwriter, Britney Spear, when she suffered a heavy fall after being backhanded by Damian Smith, the Director of Team Security for the San Antonio Spurs and security detail to Victor Wembanyama, an NBA star.
The incident occurred in ARIA Hotel in Las Vegas as Spears attempted to say hello when she sighted Wembanyama who had also come into the restaurant.
The incident, which occurred in the presence of Spears’ husband, Sam Asghari, had Spear sat back in corner booth of the restaurant by herself after taking the slap.

However, according to TMZ, Smith had apologized to Spear, which she accepted, saying he didn’t realise who she was in the moment.
Meanwhile, Spears’ security had filed a police report, alleging battery, but Wembanyama, while commenting said, “I didn’t see what happened because I was walking straight and we were told, ‘Don’t stop,’ continuing, ” But that person grabbed me from behind…and so I just know the security pushed her away. I don’t how much force, though I didn’t stop to look so I could walk in and enjoy the nice dinner.”
Wembanyama claimed not to have seen Spears’ face and didn’t realize who she was until later in the night. “At first, I was like no you are joking, but yeah it turns out it was Britney Spears.”
