Prof. Dairo Reappointed Dean of Engineering at FUNAAB
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has reappointed Prof. Olawale Dairo from the Department of Agricultural and Bio-Resources Engineering as the Dean of the College of Engineering (COLENG).
This decision, following the recommendation of the College Board, will see Prof. Dairo serve another three-year term from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2027.

UniIlorin: Pupil Wins 2024 Creative Writing Competition
Raabia Akeem, a Basic 4 student at the University of Ilorin Primary School (UPS), recently emerged as the winner of the National Creative Writing Competition (NCWC–2024), organized by the Rising Young Authors of Nigeria. Raabia secured first place in the Primary 3 and 4 categories.
The event’s highlight was the presentation of a Certificate of Honour to Raabia, recognizing her exceptional achievement.

LASU Pre-Degree Studies for 2024/2025 Academic Year
Lagos State University (LASU) is now accepting applications for its Pre-Degree Studies (PDS) Programme, set to begin in October 2024. This intensive programme is designed to help candidates with deficiencies in their O’Level results to re-sit their examinations and prepare for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), paving the way for admission into the 100 Level Degree programmes at LASU. The programme will run for one academic session, from October 2024 to September 2025.
