The Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) has an additional Computer Based Test (CBT) centre which was approved by Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME).
According to Special Assistant Media to the Vice Chancellor, Wole Balogun, it was disclosed by the Director of the FUOYE Centre for Continuing Education, Associate Professor Omolade Adeleke in Ado Ekiti.
Professor Adeleke said the centre, which is located in Ire-Ekiti, will provide a viable alternative for young secondary school leavers and prospective UTME candidates around the surrounding towns of Oye-Ekiti and Ikole among others.
He added that the facility was donated by a philanthropist, Aare Akomolafe Adebayo, an eminent son of Ire-Ekiti.
He said further that the centre is up and running for use in the registration exercise for UTME coming up in March 2024.
“As the UTME Registration kicks off in January 2024, this is an opportunity for all secondary school students in Oye, Ire, Itapa, Ilupeju and Ikole, among others to come to the centre instead of going far away to the capital city in Ado Ekiti and queue in thousands,” Adeleke said.
