The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that applicants seeking admission to the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) and other open distance learning programs must register through JAMB.
This move aims to streamline the registration process and prevent fraudulent activities.
According to JAMB, applicants will also be required to provide their unique National Identification Number (NIN) during registration.
To create a profile code, applicants must send their NIN to JAMB’s sort codes (55019 or 66019) via their unique phone number.
This directive also applies to previous candidates in non-regular programmes who have not yet integrated their NIN or unique phone numbers into the JAMB platform.
They must create a profile using their respective NINs to access JAMB’s services.
JAMB’s introduction of NIN and profile codes aims to ensure the integrity of candidates’ records and prevent fraudulent activities.
