Key Facts About Private Students’ WASSCE 2024

Registration for the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private students has commenced. Here are essential facts and information to guide prospective applicants:

• The examination will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT), with multiple-choice papers fully CBT and hybrid exams for essay and practical tests.
• Online mock exams will be available for interested candidates who register for the exam to practise with the testing environment ahead of time.
• The registration fee is non-refundable, and candidates are advised to check the website for the exam timetable.
• Entries must be uploaded with passport photographs captured with a digital camera (Microsoft HD 3000).
• Passport photographs must be of good quality, black and white, JPEG File only (275 x 314 pixels, 72 dpi resolution), with a contrasting background.
• Candidates must study the regulations and syllabuses for the exam, which can be downloaded from the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) website (www.waecnigeria.org) using the registration PIN.
• Candidates must appear in mufti and are not allowed to carry arms or wear professional uniforms. Smoking is also prohibited in the examination halls.
• Candidates who sit for the examination in more than one centre will have their results cancelled.
• Mobile phones and electronic gadgets are not allowed in the hall, and defaulters will have their entire results cancelled.
• Candidates must bring their original admission notice to the examination hall.
• Results of candidates who engage in examination malpractice will be cancelled, and such candidates may be prosecuted.
