The Kwara State Common Entrance Examination into junior secondary schools across the 16 local government areas will take place on Monday, August 10, 2024, according to the state government.
Peter Amogbonjaye, spokesman for the Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, disclosed this in a statement issued by the ministry.
The statement noted that accreditation for the exam will commence promptly at 8:00 a.m. at various centres across the state.
No pupil will be allowed to sit for the examination without a valid screening card duly signed by the principal of their chosen school.
The state government has covered the costs of the placement examination.
The government warned principals, head teachers, and pupils to steer clear of examination malpractices during the exercise.
They were also warned not to solicit illegal payments from pupils, as anyone caught would face severe legal consequences.
Amogbonjaye notified the public that the examination date will not be postponed and urged school principals and head teachers to ensure that they inform their pupils of the instructions.
