
Lagos Universities Forge Partnership with Spelman College
On Monday, July 15, 2024, Lagos State University (LASU) signed a cooperative agreement with Spelman College, joining forces with the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and Pan-Atlantic University (PAU). This significant agreement, formalized at the J.F. Ade-Ajayi Auditorium, is designed to promote collaboration in women’s education, STEM education, the creative industries, and exchange programs for faculty and students.
The ceremony included a roundtable discussion among the leaders of the participating institutions: Dr. Helene Gayle of Spelman College, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola of UNILAG, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello of LASU, and Prof. Enase Okonedo of PAU.

UI Students Stage Peaceful Protest
The students of the University of Ibadan staged a peaceful protest yesterday night against the new power supply schedule issued by the school management.
They argued that there is no justification for adjusting the current power supply and that the school authority cannot introduce a new utility bill and still ration power supply.

Babcock University Hosts Conference for Women in Academia
Babcock University recently held a two-day conference focused on women in academia, gathering participants from 12 universities in the South West region to discuss challenges impacting their well-being.
The event, organized in collaboration with the University of Glasgow, featured Professor Olanike Adeyemo, Secretary to the Oyo State Government and Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, as the keynote speaker.
