
LASU Announces Schedule for 35th General Elections
The Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, has approved the time-table for the 35th General Elections. The elections are set to take place from Monday, July 29th to Friday, August 2nd, 2024.
During this period, students will vote for representatives in the Lagos State University Students Union (LASUSU), the Studentsโ Parliamentary Council (SPC), and various College, School, Faculty, and Departmental positions.

University of Ghana Celebrates 66th Anniversary
To commemorate its 66th anniversary, the University of Ghana hosted an interactive session between students and the vice chancellor. The discussion covered various topics including security, health services, residential issues, academic affairs, and social life on campus.
Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo highlighted several initiatives aimed at improving the student experience. These initiatives include the Classroom Modernisation Project, the construction of Hotspot Comfort Zones, the One Student One Laptop Initiative (1S1L), and the reconstruction of the night market, among others.

Seminar Series for Distance Learning
The Distance Learning Institute (DLI) at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) is hosting its monthly seminar on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. The event will be held in the DLI Boardroom, Red Bricks, UNILAG.
Dr. Adedoyin Adesoji will present “Sensing the Harmful Agents: Synthesis and Applications of Chemosensors.”
