The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has praised the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) for introducing the Tertiary Education Research and Application Systems (TERAS) in higher institutions across the country.
This initiative aims to revitalize and transform Nigeria’s tertiary education system.
NANS National President, Comrade Lucky Emonefe, described TERAS as a laudable initiative that aligns with NANS’ goals of promoting quality education, student welfare, and academic excellence.
“We appreciate TETFUND’s efforts in addressing infrastructure deficits and promoting research and innovation in our higher institutions,” Emonefe said.
NANS encouraged all schools to onboard their students and provide necessary support for the successful execution of TERAS.
The association believes that this initiative will significantly impact the education sector, leading to improved academic outcomes, increased graduate employability, and better preparedness for the workforce.
NANS commended TETFUND for its commitment to transforming tertiary education in Nigeria and looked forward to a successful implementation of TERAS.
Additionally, NANS called on the government to provide necessary support and funding to ensure the sustainability of this initiative.
