The National Examinations Council (NECO) General Certificate Examination (GCE) for 2024 is now open for registration. This examination is designed for private candidates not currently enrolled in secondary schools.
To ensure a smooth registration process, please take note of the following guidelines:
Registration Period: July 3 – November 6, 2024
Examination Date: November – December 2024
Fees:
- Examination fee: N22,250
- Four-figure table: N500 per copy
- Additional charges: Stamp duty, service, and Remita fees apply
- Late registration fee: N2,000
- Walk-in registration fee: N28,000 per candidate
Registration Process:
- Visit the NECO website and create an account
- Purchase the registration quota
- Complete the registration process at a recognized cybercafe
- Capture biometric data
Requirements:
- Passport-sized photograph with a white background (not older than six months)
- Physically challenged persons must specify their nature of impairment during registration
- Biometric fingerprints will be captured during registration and verified during the examination
Exam Centres:
- Located in neighborhoods within each state
- Candidates will be allotted centers based on their selected neighborhood after registration
Cyber Cafe Registration:
- Visit NECO’s official website
- Create and activate an account
- Pay through ATM cards, internet banking, USSD, wallet, or bank branch
