Engineer Musa Nimrod, Chairman of the Kaduna State Volleyball Association, has sponsored the tuition fees of 27 volleyball players within the state.
In a statement released by Jacob Onjewu Dickson, the Media Representative on the board of the Kaduna State Volleyball Association, Nimrod encouraged the students to blend education and sports, serving as role models for aspiring athletes.
Adamu Mohammed, the association’s Secretary, facilitated the payment of N740,000 to various institutions, covering their West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) registration. Dickson explained,
“Three tertiary institution students received N80,000 each, with 13 students benefiting from N30,000 each for WAEC fees and 11 students receiving N10,000 each for JAMB registration,” Nimrod emphasized.
“I consistently stress the significance of education in the lives of every sportsman and woman. Planning for life beyond sports is crucial.
Players need to understand the essence of education.”Highlighting the successful combination of education and sports among top sports administrators in the country, Nimrod expressed the importance of giving back to the sports sector.
He concluded by urging young players to be exemplary ambassadors of volleyball and to actively contribute to their institutions’ volleyball teams.
