
OAU Hosts 2024 Mega Innovative Bootcamp
The 2024 Mega Innovative Bootcamp, held from June 24th to July 14th at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), was an exceptional event organized by the Nigeria Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) in partnership with Washington University in St. Louis, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the National Cancer Institute, and other distinguished collaborators.

This intensive three-week program focused on enhancing the professional development, research capabilities, and community engagement skills of Youth Research Facilitators (NIMR interns) involved in the C3-RISE study. The boot camp, part of the 4GW and 4MB projects prepared participants for the active phase of these initiatives.
The Day for Africaribbean Carnival at UNILAG

The Africaribbean Carnival of the Creative Arts Department of the University of Lagos took place yesterday. The event kicked off with a parade from the Department to the Sports Centre.
The 300-level students representing the various teams revved up to compete against each other.

LASU Ranks as Second Most Preferred University
Lagos State University (LASU) has been recognized as the second most preferred university in Nigeria. This ranking is derived from the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination Application Statistics, published by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
According to the data released by JAMB, 62,601 candidates selected LASU as their first-choice institution, placing it just behind the University of Ilorin in Kwara State, which attracted 64,143 first-choice candidates.
