This was revealed as the institution conducted its matriculation ceremony at Jelili Omotola Hall, yesterday, February 2, 2024.
The matriculants were drawn across all faculties including the College of Medicine as principal officers and the University community filed out the newly matriculating students.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade Ogunsola declared the event opened as the Ag. Registrar, Mrs. Olakunle Makinde administered the matriculation oath to students in order of their faculties.
The Lagos State Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr Bolaji Ogunlende, who graced the event, advised the matriculants to set their goals and commit to them all the way.
However, Mr. Ogunlende rewarded a student, Mrs Inioluwa Akinboboye of the Department of History and Strategic Studies with a brand new laptop for being attentive during the occasion.
In her address, The VC congratulated the matriculants, saying, “I congratulate you all for being among the 8,448 admitted students out of over 53,000 that applied to the University of Lagos.”
