Rodri Commends Young English Star

This weekend, Spanish and Manchester City midfielder Rodri lauded a young English player after their team clinched the Euro 2024 title. Spain emerged victorious with a 2-1 win against England in Sunday’s final, marking their fourth Euros triumph.

Rodri took the opportunity to praise his former Manchester City teammate, Cole Palmer, during an interview with ITV.

“We knew they didn’t need to have an outstanding game to score goals or secure a draw,” Rodri remarked. “I know Cole Palmer well. He’s an incredible talent and will be a top player in the coming years.

His goal in the corner caused us some trouble at that moment, but we demonstrated a different level of resilience throughout this tournament. Overcoming such challenges was crucial to our success.”
