The Chief Executive Officer of Doyin Investment Limited, Prince (Dr.) Samuel Adedoyin, has revealed why he donated a state-of-the-art Information, Communication, and Technology Centre (ICT) to Lagos State University (LASU).
According to Adedoyin, he donated the ICT Centre in appreciation to God for his accomplishments, noting that his success was made possible through LASU.
He recalled that he had once asked God for a Volkswagen and a bungalow, but God exceeded his expectations by making him the person he is today.
“I felt compelled to express my gratitude to God for all He has done by giving back to the university on whose land I achieved my success,” Adedoyin said during the handover of the ultra-modern facility to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, and her team, who visited his Lagos Island office to express their appreciation.
Professor Olatunji-Bello praised Adedoyin for his philanthropic gesture, stating that the donation would significantly enhance ICT services at the university.
“We are deeply grateful for this generous donation, which will greatly benefit our students and faculty,” she said, announcing that Prince Adedoyin would be conferred with an honorary degree alongside other distinguished Nigerians during the university’s 27th Convocation Ceremony, scheduled to take place between May 30 and June 6, 2024.”
