The Afrobeat singer and Grammy Award winner, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has lost his mother, Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun.
Speaking to Journalist, Wizkid’s Manager, Sunday Are, confirmed the news saying Dolapo Balogun died Friday August 28, by 1:30 am.
The mother, who was said to have thrown her weight behind Wizkid during her lifetime, gave birth to two other children, Yetunde Balogun and Lade Balogun.

Information is still sketchy about the cause of her death, but it was said that she died peacefully even though Wizkid has yet to make any official comment regarding the sad loss.
Fans, musicians, and artistes across the country have been sending condolence messages.
