The veteran Nollywood actor, Folayemi Olatunji aka Yemi Blaq has expressed that social media has changed the structure of the Nigerian movie industry.
He said that at present, social media is the order of the day, especially with the advent of streaming sites.

Blaq stated, ” It’s a lot different now with the advent of social media and streaming sites. Also there is a lot of money, competition and opportunities for anyone serious about the business. It is a world apart from when we started and where things are now.”
“Things are a lot better for the business now but I can’t say so about the craft. Back in the days, we pay attention to craft and paid much attention to acting and it was not all about fashion, or social media following,” Blaq said.
A movie producer and poet, Blaq won Best Actor in a Leading Role at, the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards.
He began his acting career in the early 2000s, appearing in numerous movies, television shows, and stage productions.
