1973: Isreali fighter planes shot down Libyan Arab Airlines Flight 114 over the Sinai Desert, killing all but five of the 113 peopole on board.
2021: Nigeria Air force says King Air 350 crashed after reporting engine failure, killing all the seven men on board.
2022: Russia declared the Donetsk Peopleโs Republic and the Luhansk Peopleโs Republic as independent states. Putinโs Russia then deployed Russian troops to the region, setting the stage for Russiaโs large-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Robert Mugabe (21 February 1924 – 6 September 2019)
Robert Gabriel Mugabe was a Zimbabwean revolutionary and politician who served as Prime Minister of Zimbabwe from 1980 to 1987 and then as President from 1987 to 2017.
He died at the age of 95.

1946 Alan Rickman (21 February 1946 – 14 January 2016)
Alan Sidney Patrick Rickman was an English actor and director. Known for his distinctive deep, languid voice, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and became a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, performing in modern and classical theatre productions.
He died at the age of 69.
