1975: A London underground train crashes into the end of the tunnel at Moorgate station
The Moorgate tube crash claimed 43 lives and was the deadliest accident in the London Underground during peacetime.
1986: Swedish Prime Minister, Olof Palme, was shot at point-blank range on the busiest road in Sweden.
While many suspects were arrested over the years, a culprit was never found.

1991: The first Gulf War ends. The armed conflict had lasted a little over half a year and claimed over 100,000 civilian casualties.
1997: The FDA in the US started requiring that those purchasing cigarettes under the age of 27 must provide ID to prove they are over 18.

2005: In a major capital punishment case, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that it was unconstitutional to execute convicts who were under age 18 at the time of their crimes.

2018: English neurologist Roger Bannister, the first athlete to run a mile in less than four minutes, died at age 88.
2018: A painting of Nigerian Ife princess, Adetutu Ademiluyi by Nigerian Artist, Ben Nwowu which went missing at his death and was recovered earlier this month, is sold at auction for over
1.2 million pounds sterling. The highest price ever for the work of an African artist.

2020: Malawi becomes the latest African country (Lesotho was the first) to legalise Marijuana cultivation transportation, medical and industrial purposes.

Tim Bresnan, 39
Timothy Thomas Bresnan is an English former first-class cricketer, who last played for Warwickshire. He played as a fast-medium bowler who had ability with the bat. He was a member of the England team that won the 2010 ICC World Twenty20. Bresnan won the NBC Denis Compton Award in 2002 and 2003.
