Captain Ahmed Musa, along with defenders William Ekong, Kenneth Omeruo, Ola Aina, Chidozie Awaziem, and forward Moses Simon, all present in Abidjan, were instrumental in the historic game in North Africa.

In terms of the squad, midfielder Alhassan Yusuf, who sustained an injury in a challenging match against Equatorial Guinea, has returned to training. There is a possibility of his inclusion in the lineup alongside Frank Onyeka, while Alex Iwobi is expected to play a pivotal role in the midfield.
