Chelsea have abandoned their plans to target Victor Osimhen as their new striker in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Initially, the Stamford Bridge club was almost certain to make a bid for the Nigerian star.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Osimhen may no longer be heading to London.
The former Lille player cannot move to Chelsea due to financial constraints that make the deal unfeasible for the English club.
Chelsea are already struggling to comply with the Premier League’s financial regulations and must sell players to meet requirements.
Even with potential sales of Romelu Lukaku and Armando Broja, the club is likely to opt for a more affordable forward.
