Save Government Relations Specialist at inDrive

We are looking for a GR Specialist, who will be in charge of coordinating the company’s interaction with public authorities across the African Region. If you’re a legal professional with expertise in government relations, we are waiting for your CV!
What you will do:
Build and maintain relationships with key government officials, policymakers, and regulatory bodies in the African Region.
Serve as a strategic thought leader, and provide counsel to internal stakeholders on policy, legislative, or reputational initiatives that may impact business performance and/or company reputation through regular updates.
Attend hearings and meetings with government officials to represent inDrive and advocate for our interests.
Identify regulatory requirements for platforms operating in the field of RH, delivery, intercity, cargo, and other business verticals operated by the company. Owe, plan, and manage licensing processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Product, to ensure compliance with existing regulations and anticipate potential regulatory challenges.
Develop or co-develop and implement OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) and GR (Government Relations) Strategy. Create detailed action plans and timelines for implementing public policy strategies and achieving OKRs.
What we expect from you:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law, economics, political science, or related fields.
At least 3 years of experience as a government affairs practitioner and/or other relevant experiences.
Proactive team player with excellent analytical skills.
Highly skilled in networking and building relationships.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with executives and government leaders. Exceptional presentation skills.
Familiarity with the regulatory landscape in the African Region will be an advantage.
Experience in the RH, delivery, or related industries is preferred.
