The Super Eagles of Nigeria arrived in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire by 11.23 am on board a chartered flight for the 34th African Cup of Nations. The Nigerian team dressed in traditional Kaftan with cap to match.
The three-time winners will slug it out with other African teams for two weeks to win the prestigious football tournament in Africa.
Earlier before jetting out of Lagos, President of Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau told the audience at the send forth ceremony in Lagos that he has confidence in the team to prove their worth in Cote d’Ivoire when the tournament begins.
“I have spoken to the head coach, the captain, and also a good number of the players, and they have assured me of their determination to push strongly for triumph in Cote d’Ivoire, thereby winning the trophy for a fourth time.”
The NFF President applauded President Bola Tinubu GCFR who approved the fund for the team’s preparation and participation at the Cup of Nations tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.
