Wow!!! Is a thousand-sitter hall not enough for 100-level freshers? Look as they gathered inside the hall and how they also occupied the lecture theatre -A at a go? How does the school intend to manage this crowd of people?
The above questions are the trending conversations among the students of UNIOSUN, Oshogho main campus, who are amazed by the number of intakes for this 2023/ 2024 academic calendar. Even more students are expected to be given admission for the year. Some have the opinion that the number of students intake will increase, with proportionality to the school’s awareness and a more vibrant campus atmosphere. However, the issue at hand will be on infrastructure or a system that can accommodate the people conveniently.
However, we do know that no matter the level of convenience provided, some students will misuse or criticize the efforts of the school’s administrative body. That is inevitable.
However, to an extent of a higher percentage, convenience for both lecturers and students must be obtainable by all means. The prevailing question in the heart of both the newly admitted and existing students is, “How?”
Many students are waiting, the serious and the nonchalant students are anticipating, the freshers and existing students are expecting.
New techniques should be deviced by the school to avoid the unserious students having the excuse for not attending classes; and to reduce the frustration experienced by serious students due to stress and inconveniences.
With over 2,000 students gathered to receive lectures, two waiting for admission lists to be released, over 10 departments waiting to be taught, and only 1000 sitter or as the largest accommodating arena and a lecture at a time. How does the UNIOSUN administrative body plan to manage and address the situation at hand?
