Hunger in The Land

Do you know that the country is full of hunger now where everybody is looking for what to eat?
But what are you saying Sola? Food stuff is everywhere in the market but there is no money. That’s another thing Tolu.

Do you know that, even nowadays to get food stuffs in the city is more convenient than in the rural areas where cattle rearers have sent out all the farmers from their farms.

Sola, do you know that places where cattle rearers have not gone to, you can hardly find food either.

The case of Ofada town is pathetic because you cannot harvest a grain of Ofada rice in that town. The indigenes have sold all the land for building purposes. What an irony of life!

And because of that Tolu, the land is angry. Even maize which used to be the commonest grain to plant is not doing well.

You know what! we need to declare a “country of emergency” and start another episode of Operation Feed the Nation.
