A mammoth crowd of students block the entrance gate of Faculty of Arts.
Students are struggling to enter the only room designated for students to enlist for the Shell bursary award.
Joe, a strong, well-built 300 level Linguistics student presses, and pushes the crowd as he tries to maneuver his way through.
Ade, in his own case, is choked. He’s stretched as Joe bulldozes everyone on his way.
“Who’s pushing?” Ade voices out. “I’m choked,” he struggles.
A voice from the crowd blares, “It’s big Joe!”
Everyone faces him, “Go back! You just came now!” Someone says. Joe fires back! “Stop! Stop pushing me! I prayed in the new year to have breakthrough, and I’m breaking my way through all of you and you are complaining. I shall breakthrough this year, and no one, by the grace of God, shall be a stumbling block in my way.”
