Youths to Undergo 2-Day Athletics Clinic

SamKay Athletics Academy and Bayelsa State Athletics Association are collaborating to host a two-day Athletics Clinic for students and young athletes aged 6 to 20.

The event will take place at the Main Bowl of the Samson Siasia Sports Complex in Yenagoa from Tuesday, April 2nd, to Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024, starting at 9 am and ending at noon daily.

The clinic aims to introduce young participants to various track and field events and will include discussions on the basics of athletics, nutrition, and the socioeconomic benefits of sports.

Organizers urge parents to allow their children and wards to participate under the guidance of experienced coaches.

Additionally, school principals and game masters are encouraged to support talented athletes identified during school sports events to join the clinic.

SamKay Athletics Academy’s goal is to transform track and field sports in Bayelsa State by nurturing future national and world champions.
