At the end of his final year in the university, Thomas goes home to settle down before the call up for his one year compulsory service.
His father, a semi literate, asks him:
“Thomas, now that you’ve finished your education how does your result look like?”
Thomas: “I did extremely well. I got a pass.”
Father: “Pass! Is that what you call extremely well?”
I always hear of first class, second class, and third class. What is this one? Thomas: “This is pass class! And in any way whether first or second or third class, a pass takes care of everything because anybody that goes to school must pass or fail. If one gets first class or second class or third class he has passed, so I got pass and I’ve passed.”
