The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has collaborated with the Nigerian Telecommunication Corporation (NCC) to issue customized phone Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMs) to Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates, tackling registration challenges.
This was disclosed by the JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede while welcoming the delegation of the West Africa Civil Society Forum (WACSOF) to his office recently.
Professor Oloyede assured WACSOF’s delegation that JAMB is committed to making UTME registration seamless, flexible, and user-friendly.
According to the Registrar, the customized SIMs will be accessible only to parents and will expire in five years.
This innovation aims to eliminate registration hurdles and address issues of stolen or missing SIMs.
He emphasized JAMB’s dedication to leveraging cutting-edge technology for efficient service delivery.
