The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that its highly anticipated policy meeting will take place on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
According to the Board’s weekly bulletin, the meeting will be chaired by the Honourable Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman, and will include stakeholders from the education sector.
The policy meeting will determine the 2024 admission requirements and address unresolved issues from the previous academic year.
The Board will also review stakeholders’ compliance with existing advisories and assess key performance indicators to inform policy directions.
The Registrar of the Board, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, will present his report on the recent Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and the ongoing Direct Entry (DE) application process.
The meeting will also analyze the candidates’ performance in the current year’s UTME to determine the minimum admission score for the year.
Recall that the Board agreed on the minimum requirement for admission into universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education in the previous year.
