Olu Jacob Alive and Well

Joke Silva, the wife of veteran Nollywood actor, Olu Jacob, has debunked rumours circulating about her husband’s death, confirming that he is alive and well.

Silva took to Instagram to dispel the rumour, stating that her husband is in good health, fine, hale and hearty.

This is not the first time Jacob has been rumoured dead, a similar false reports about his possible death surfaced in August 2022.

The actor has been battling Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB), a degenerative brain disorder, which has prevented him from appearing in public and acting roles in recent times.

Jacob’s illustrious acting career spans over four decades, with notable achievements including the Industry Merit Award at the 2013 African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).

He also got the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2016 African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).

He co-founded the Lufodo group, a media organization comprising film production, distribution of assets, and the Lufodo Academy of Performing Arts with his wife Joke Silva.
