Manchester United continues to pursue Benfica midfielder Joao Neves.
According to Sky Sports, United’s new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has approved a bid exceeding £100 million for the 19-year-old midfielder this summer.
Neves made his breakthrough into Benfica’s first team last season, featuring in 17 league games, six of which he started. This season, he has continued to progress, contributing two goals and two assists in 24 league appearances so far.
Manchester United need to beef up their midfield this season to compete favourably with other top teams.
