The Nigerian sensational sprinter, Tobi Amusan, has set another record at the Astana Indoor Meet, Kazakhstan in 60-metre hurdles, finishing in 7.77 seconds.
Achieving this new record, Amusan broke the 7.82 record set by Gloria Alozie in Madrid, Spain, in 1999.
Both Nia Ali of the United States of America (USA), who came second, and Sara Lavin of Ireland, who was third, came behind Amusan, who clinched the first position in the final of the event.
When she ran her first race of the year, Amusan made 7.91s in the qualifying 60m Hurdles, before she returned to set an outstanding record of 7.77s.
By this, she has made a bold statement of being in remarkable form ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Amusa had a major setback in her career in Budapest where she failed to defend her world title.
However, since then she has returned to superlative form by defending her Diamond League trophy for the third consecutive year.
