A candidate must have scored a minimum of 200 in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to be eligible for the University of Ibadan Post-UTME’s screening test.
Such a candidate must have also made the University his first choice. Having fulfilled these two requirements, all other necessary documents which include the UTME result slip, O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or GCE), and birth certificate must be ready.
Procedure
The UI admission may be conducted online via its admission portal, https://www admissions.ui.edu.ng.
Always check the University’s website and the official announcement of the registration date.
For registration, you will need to create an account. Log in to the account, use your JAMB number and details, and make the payment of the designated registration fee.
You will need to fill in your biodata form and upload the scanned copies of your required documents.
Submit accurate information and ensure you meet all deadlines to avoid disqualification.
Check the Website
The Post-UTME of the University of Ibadan will likely be Computer-Based Test (CBT) which will be conducted across various centres in the University.
The date and test shall be communicated, so be listen to the news, however after completing your registration the exact date will be made available in your photocard.
Questions
Questions may likely be multiple choice, assessing your knowledge of English, which will be 25 questions comprising grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension.
The test will also cover the specific 3 UTME subject areas. The test will be on three subjects relevant to the course of study you wish to pursue, each subject contains 25 questions.
In all, you will be sitting for four subjects, consisting of 25 questions, all making a total of 100 marks.
Also prepare for questions on general knowledge which will include current affairs, basic science concepts, and historical events.
Aim for a High Score
The high scores in both UTME and post-UTME will largely determine your admission. To stand a chance of being admitted at all you must aim for a high score in UTME, and as well attempt to score more than, or at least 50 percent in post-UTME. Anything less cannot guarantee admission to UI.
Preparation
To prepare for UI Post-UTME you will need to practise online CBT questions to get familiar with CBT testing procedures and requirements.
