By April 29, 2024, the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which started on April 19, 2024, would have ended. After that, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will begin the release of the results. But if you don’t know how to check your scores, here are some tips.

But ensure you consider the following:
- Let your Internet connection be stable
- There could be an error message, which means your internet connection is disrupted, or your result is not yet posted.
- Ensure you have the correct JAMB registration number and that the e-mail address linked to your JAMB account is ready.
- Use an updated web browser.
A. Checking Results through the JAMB Portal
- Open your web browser and move to the JAMB e-facility portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/CheckUTME
-Enter your login details, which comprise your e-mail address and password you registered with
-Click on the CheckUTME results button to view your scores for each subject. You can print your results if you want to.
-Log back into your JAMB profile on the e-facility portal.
-Locate the ‘Print Result Slip button to proceed with the payment process. You are required to pay N1000 to print your result slip, while the service charge is N100.
-After you have paid, you will be asked to enter your JAMB registration number once more.
-Press on the, ‘Print Result Slip’s button again. Your result slip will come up on the screen, then you can print by selecting the ‘Print’ option.
B. Checking your Result through SMS
- Open your preferred text messaging application on your mobile phone
-Type ‘RESULT’ (UPPER CASE) in a new message, followed by a space, and then your JAMB Registration Number
-Send the message to 55019 or 66019. These are the official JAMB result SMS numbers.
-If your results are ready, JAMB will send an SMS with your UTME scores for each subject you sat for
Make sure that you have a sufficient airtime balance before checking your JAMB result for 2024 via SMS because a sum of N50 will be deducted from your phone airtime balance.
