Osun State University, with its multiple campuses, including the main campus in Oshogbo, the College of Science, College of Education in Ipetu Ijesha, College of Law in Ifetedo, College of Management and Social Sciences in Okuku, College of Humanities and Culture in Ikire, and College of Agriculture in Ejigbo, has faced challenges in delivering lectures across campuses. Following the appointment of Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye as the new Vice-Chancellor, the university adopted internet-dependent classes to facilitate lectures across campuses, allowing lecturers to teach from their respective locations.
Initially, this technological advancement was met with enthusiasm, however, frequent internet connectivity issues have disrupted the flow of lectures, affecting both lecturers’ inspiration and students’ concentration. Students from remote campuses often struggle to participate actively and miss crucial information due to internet fluctuations. Consequently, some students have become discouraged from attending classes, leading to a lack of enthusiasm for education, and they are calling for solutions to improve lecture transmission and reduce the frustration associated with online learning
