The popular Nigeria singer and song writer, Yemi Alade is seeking to be a commentator at the African Cup of Nations tournament (AFCON) ongoing in Cote d’Ivoire, Abidjan.
The Afrobeats songbird disclosed her wish on a video she posted on her Instagram page, urging CAF to invite her again, but to be a commentator so as to show off her newfound talent.

Alade thrilled the audience at 60,000-capacity Stade Olympique Alassane Quattara on January 13, 2024 to a superlative display.
She performed the AFCON theme song 2023, ‘Akwaba’ alongside other singers of African origin such as Magic System of Cote d’Ivoire, and the Egyptian singer, Mohammed Ramadan.
According to her, she had desired to perform at the event in 2016 but couldn’t, however, after much prayer she said it was an honour and a dream come true to come back seven years later to perform at AFCON opening ceremony.
Meanwhile, the talented singer battles soar throat, disclosing to her fans about her new, deep vocal, as she prays for her voice to be back.
