Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has revealed why he didn’t attend the funeral ceremony of his colleague, Junior Pope. He shared his reasons on his Instagram page, addressing the repeated questions and accusations he faced for not paying his respects.
Edochie explained that despite considering Junior Pope a good friend and brother, the deceased actor had repeatedly betrayed him.

He stated, “I took him as a brother and good friend. I was there for him when he needed me, but he stabbed me in the back repeatedly. That’s life.”
Yul Edochie added that he would soon share the full details of the issue to serve as a lesson to others.
He warned, “Be careful what you wish people; it could come back to you.”
Junior Pope died on April 10, 2024, when his boat capsized in the Anam River while returning from a movie location with four others.
