Afrobeats singer, Oladapo Adebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, has praised his colleague, Olamide, aka Baddo, for writing his latest single, ‘Koko.’ He disclosed this on his social media handle, saying, “Koko from my upcoming album is out now! Big shoutout to my brother @Olamide Baddo LEE for blessing me with this jam…”
In his show of gratitude, he commended Baddo for doing so much behind the scenes without asking for compensation.
The Koko master revealed that after reaching out to Olamide for a comeback hit, Baddo responded without hesitation and even delayed his flight to London for a business trip by four days to write a proper song for him.
“I thought after sending me the song, he would say, ‘Baba, ya money na 50 million Naira,’ but he just sent it and wished me luck,” said D’banj.
He offered to compensate him at least with money for his London flight, but Olamide declined, saying, “Na na nah.”
