Both Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (ABU) and University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom are set to collaborate in the award of joint degree programme. According to ABU, Public Affairs Directorate, Office of the Vice Chancellor, to achieve the deal both universities have raised a high-powered committee to work out the modalities and development programmes that will foster the development of students and staff.
The deal was struck as a result of the visit of the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Professor Kabiru Bala, along with the Director of Agricultural Colleges (DAC), Professor Musa Abdullahi Mahadi, to the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies and the Rosling Institute, University of Edinburgh.
At Royal (Dick) School Professor Bala held a joint meeting with the Director of the Global Academy of Agriculture and Food Systems, Professor Geoff Simm, the Director of the Centre for Supporting Evidence-Based Interventions in Livestock, Professor Karen Smyth and Dr. Oluyinka Opoola of Centre for Tropical Livestock Genetics and Health.
