Akon on Owning Private Jet
Owning a private jet might be more of a waste of money than investing. The Senegalese-American rapper and singer, Akon, blamed himself for having one.
The cost of maintaining the one he bought was expensive, thereby warning that instead of buying a jet, “invest your money.”
…”No matter what you do, do not own a jet because it won’t even be of much use to you. You have to be stingy to remain rich,” advised Akon.

Hike in Tuition Fee
Students at Baze University are expressing their dissatisfaction with the recent decision by the university authorities to increase tuition fees by 35% and hostel fees by 100%.
The announcement, outlined in a circular titled “Increase in Tuition Fees” signed by the Deputy Registrar and Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Kehinde Adekeye, indicates that the increment will take effect from May 2024.
The sudden hike in fees has sparked outrage among students, with many questioning the rationale behind such a significant increase.
Some students have criticized the university for what they perceive as insensitivity to the financial challenges faced by students, suggesting that the university may be out of touch with the realities faced by the majority of its student population.
Baze University, known for its commitment to excellence and global standards, may face increased scrutiny and criticism following this decision. Students are calling for a review of the fee increment, emphasizing the need for a more inclusive and considerate approach to fee adjustments.
