Al-Hikmah University Elevates Eight Academics
During its 59th meeting on June 7, 2024, the Governing Council of Al-Hikmah University in Ilorin approved the promotion of eight academic staff members to the rank of Professor.
Among the newly promoted professors is the university’s first female professor, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s nearly 20-year history. These promotions will be effective from October 1, 2023.

Baze University Holds 15th Matriculation Ceremony
Recently, Baze University celebrated its 15th Matriculation Ceremony at the Abdulsalami Abubakar Multi-Purpose Hall. Over 1,500 new students took the matriculation oath, pledging to adhere to the university’s policies and procedures throughout their studies.

The event was marked by a jubilant atmosphere and featured Senator Y.D. Baba-Ahmed, the Chancellor and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, was the Special Guest of Honour. The ceremony was attended by the Senate, principal officers, students, parents, and other well-wishers.
Bingham University Pharmaceutical Students Host Health Week
The Bingham University Chapter of the Pharmaceutical Association of Nigeria recently organized its annual health week under the theme “Empowering Tomorrow’s Pharmacists.”
In his address titled “To Live a Life of Essence,” Vice-Chancellor Prof. Haruna Kuje Ayuba emphasized the importance of pharmacists embodying a sense of godliness in their daily activities.
He highlighted the critical values of time management, commitment, and integrity, encouraging pharmacists to adopt roles similar to doctors, nurses, and counselors, with the ultimate goal of saving lives. Prof. Ayuba also urged students to be exemplary representatives of the university.

Earlier, the Dean of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Assoc. Prof. John Alfa expressed gratitude to the Association’s executives in his opening remarks and underscored the benefits of the week’s activities. He encouraged students to actively participate in the program and to join the association.
