Popular Nigerian comedian, Ayo Makun, aka AY, whose house was razed last Sunday has viewed things from a philosophical perspective, saying what is important are family and God, after which everything else vanishes.
He expressed this opinion while in Canada, via his social media page, emphasising the importance of family and faith, stating, “Family and God – that is what’s important. Everything else comes and goes.”
AY’s mansion, located in the Lekki area of Lagos, was gutted by fire around 5 pm last Sunday, however the incident, which cause has not been known, did not record injury or death.
Meanwhile, a prominent Nigerian, the Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Police Force, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has expressed his concern over the fire incident.
ACP Adejobi described the occurrence as unfortunate, praying that God be with the comedian and his family.
He stated, “I sympathise with my brother, AY Comedian on the fire incident that gutted his house. It’s quite unfortunate. It’s well with you, bro. May the Lord be with you,”
The mansion is worth over half a billion naira, had properties estimated at hundreds of billion naira completely consumed in the inferno.
AY has been enmeshed in a war of words with Bright Okpocha, aka Basketmouth, and Julius Agwu, all of whom are first-class comedians.
