Being contented means being satisfied with one’s current state. It is a state of mind where one does not covet the things of others, but rather be happy with what is yours.
However, contentment does not mean complacency or indolence. It doesn’t mean you shouldn’t aspire, or be ambitious. It shows a self-regulatory process where one does not allow other things to be of concern to the extent that covetousness, envy, hatred and animosity take control of oneself.
