Pundits analyzing Liverpool’s performance against West Ham expressed worry over an incident involving Mohamed Salah and manager Jurgen Klopp. Salah, who was initially benched, later clashed verbally with Klopp during the match.
Former Liverpool striker Crouch remarked
“It didn’t look good. I don’t think it looks good for the club. Mo Salah is a player who has started the majority of games for Liverpool, and he will be fuming to be on the bench. But no one likes to see this between a manager and a key player.”
Stephen Warnock also voiced his concern, saying, “It is not good to see at all. You have two people who are equally important to the football club. The connection between the two has to be of respect and respect how they have helped each other’s careers. With Mo Salah being pushed out a little bit, he doesn’t like that – it is a clash of egos.”
Klopp addressed the incident after the match, stating, “No [I can’t say what was said], but we spoke about it already in the dressing room. That’s done.”
