Following the increase in the petroleum pump price adjusted by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPC), South-West states have the lowest price. In the geopolitical zone, the adjusted fuel price now goes for between N488 and N500 per litre, as the price in Lagos State is fixed at N488, Ogun N500, Oyo N500, Osun N500, Ondo N500, and Ekiti N500.
South-East will buy fuel from N515 to N520, North-West at N540, North-East N557 and South-South from N511 to N525 per litre.
The increase in petroleum price came as a result of the announcement by President Bola Tinubu during his inauguration that the subsidy over fuel was gone.
Meanwhile, Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NIMDPRA) had reassured Nigerians that the removal of subsidy was aimed at securing better future for Nigeria.
