The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has initiated the sale of Direct Entry forms nationwide and in selected foreign centers. The registration period will commence on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, and will conclude on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
This opportunity is available to foreign candidates interested in pursuing tertiary education in Nigeria through the Direct Entry mode. JAMB emphasizes its commitment to ensuring fair treatment for all candidates, regardless of their background.
Notably, the Board will not process applications from institutions that have failed to verify A’level certificates presented by candidates for the 2023 admission cycle, despite repeated requests.
Candidates who are not awaiting results must upload their A’level qualifications, O’level results, and DE registration template during registration. No DE candidates will be considered for admission until these results are uploaded and verified by the awarding institutions through the Board’s Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) mail platform.
For DE candidates awaiting A-level results from IJMB/JUPEB/NABTEB, it is mandatory to upload their Admission Letter and Registration Template during registration. Candidates with Cambridge certificates from before 2018 should contact Cambridge directly for verification.
The verification process, specified to take up to 28 days by the awarding body, will result in a verified status on the e-Facility profile of the DE candidate. Statement of results (instead of certificates) is acceptable for registration only within three years of the award date.
JAMB has also provided an opportunity for candidates to upgrade from UTME to DE. This option is available only to candidates whose DE results were not released at the time of UTME registration and who indicated during registration that they were awaiting A-level results.
The relevant details must have been supplied and included in the uploaded registration template.
