It’s Lady’s Time as President
As students’ union elections gather momentum at the University of Abuja, an iron lady who thinks what a man can do and a woman can do better is aspiring to be students union president of the institution.
Yohanna Rejoice Idaguju, a 300-level student of the Department of Microbiology believes she can serve her university as the next President, saying she is committed to representing the interests and aspirations of all students of the Student Union Government of the University of Abuja.
KWASU Relaxation and Sports Centre
The Students Union Executive of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete thinks that it should not only be academics always, but efforts should also be made to embrace leisure and entertainment to deal with stress; hence it put up an entertainment centre where students and staff can relax and watch the latest happenings in sports.
The entertainment center was commissioned by the entire Management team of Greenwich University, led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Shaykh-Luqman.
After commissioning the facility, the guests and students took time to relax by watching sporting activities on the flat screen mounted in the centre, as “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”.
Great Ife
Something good is coming from somewhere! Who can guess? Let’s give it a trial. Out of the 33 commercial and merchant banks in Nigeria, seven (7) are led by graduates of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State.
Is that not great? Interestingly students of Obafemi Awolowo University formerly University of Ife (Great Ife) have every reason to brag as the best University in Nigeria going by the records the university has been setting and its contributions to the society.
Their products have also been extending their greatness to every sphere of human endeavour.
That is why they say “Great Ife!”
